Following on from the relaxed and romantic favour tutorial, today’s moodboard is a delicious mix of dusky pinks. This wedding style works well in all sorts of venues, from rustic and quirky to stately and imposing, it can easily be dresssed up and down to suit your personal preference. For a more relaxed version, try mixing centrepieces and types of flower arrangements, keeping the style haphazard and carefree. For a more formal feel, match your centrepieces and use standard frames for items such as menus and table numbers. The colours also work well with a sweetie buffet (one of my personal favourite wedding trends! – Look out for our upcoming post on creating your own!). Up next, ‘shop the dusky pink trend’, where we source all your must have items for this pretty look…

A picture may speak a thousand words, but when it comes to current wedding trends, the good old fashioned written word is definitely back in fashion. While searching for a vintage ‘Just Married’ sign for the back of our wedding car, I must confess to becoming additcted to these cute little distressed signs, wooden blocks and memorable quotes. If these signs and letters are right up your wedding street, remember to shop around, as I was able to find some of these goodies at astonishing price differences between online retailers – and don’t forget to check ebay where I was able to purchase my ‘Just Married’ sign hand made by one of the sellers for a whopping £30.00 cheaper than some virtually identical products in other online stores!

But when faced with what seems like an endless to do list, bursting with suppliers to source and services to secure before they book up, it can be easy to forget to take a deep breath, relax and enjoy it all!
As they say, it is always best to start at the beginning, and I found my beginning with a mood board, trying to caputure the look and feel of the day we were trying to create…
